FAQ

Pediatric physical therapists (PTs) work with children and their families to assist each child in reaching their maximum potential to function independently and to promote active participation in home, school, and community environments. Physical therapists have expertise in movement, motor development, and body function (e.g., strength and endurance). As primary health care providers, PTs also promote health and wellness as they implement a wide variety of supports in collaboration with families, communities, and other medical, educational, developmental, and rehabilitation specialists.
-
Absolutely not! Pediatric PTs treat children from 0-18 years old, even going to the NICU to treat premies! At all phases of life, age-appropriate mobility is essential for proper growth and development, and should not be overlooked.

That’s great! Skilled Physical therapy is only required for kids who fall outside of the typical range of development.
Group classes are a great way to help children fine-tune their balance and coordination skills during age-appropriate play. Stimulating games and competitions can also screen for any delay that might have been overlooked or overshadowed by other activities.

“I am incredibly grateful for the support and dedication that we got from Reema Bilal not only as a friend but as my child’s physical therapist that she has shown over the course of our time together. Her commitment to my child’s progress has been unwavering, and it is clear that they genuinely care about each child’s individual needs and journey. She not only understands the physical challenges that children with needs face, but she also goes above and beyond to make each session engaging, motivating, fun, and tailored to what my child truly needs to thrive. Watching my child make tangible progress, not just physically but also in confidence, has been one of the most rewarding experiences as a parent. Reema’s gentle approach, combined with her depth of expertise, creates a positive and safe environment where my child feels comfortable and encouraged. I trust her fully with my child’s well-being and recommend her wholeheartedly to any parent seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable professional to support their child’s growth.”

“A true advocate for children and parents. As parents we tend to feel no one else cares as much as we do about our children's needs. By the end of our first 6 months Zach met and exceeded his goals. Attentive, dedicated and determined and above all caring.
Great teacher, confidence builder and get results
Thanks Reema.”

“Mrs. Reema Bilal became Melody's PT before she turned 5 month old and she was discharged a little over a year later because, with Reema's help, she had met all her milestones quicker than expected. Reema is very professional and has a very friendly demeanor which made it easier for my kid to cooperate with her. She is very good at her work and carries the parent(s) along always.
I would recommend her services over and again.”

As a mother of two, I understand just how precious each child is. We all strive to provide the best for our children, dreaming that they will grow into successful and independent individuals.
Every child is unique, shaped by their abilities, social experiences, and cultural expectations. I believe in working hand-in-hand with children and their families to help each child reach their full potential. Through a collaborative and personalized approach, sessions are tailored to support children in gaining independence, confidence, and safety in daily tasks.
With a holistic approach in mind, sessions aim to educate families and caregivers on available community resources, appropriate referrals, and assistance programs available to support their unique scenario - whether it’s navigating cultural barriers or addressing financial constraints.
